About Us

Cheltenham School serves a small rural village located approximately 10km north of Feilding and 30km north- west of Palmerston North. Cheltenham is a mixture of village housing, life-style blocks and farms including sheep, beef and dairy farms.
Cheltenham is a typical mix of socio-economic levels found in most rural areas throughout New Zealand and also draws a number of students from the nearby township of Feilding.
At Cheltenham School, we believe that everyone is a learner. We support each other in our life-long quest to gain new knowledge, improve our skills and develop our talents. We have the confidence to give things a go and innovate in a climate of trust and respect.
Education is highly valued by parents and the school community. Parents support the school through fundraising, providing transport for class trips and helping within the classes. There are enthusiastic groups active within the Board of Trustees, Fundraising Committee, and the wider school community ensuring that the school is reasonably well resourced.
